The Drive for Heisman

Current New Orleans Saints running back, Mark Ingram, returns to The University of Alabama to revisit his journey from 7th string to Heisman Trophy winning National Champion.

Ingram takes us back to the harrowing defeat against arch rival Florida in the 2008 SEC Championship game as the moment that turned Alabama into the modern college football juggernaut it is today.  From the depths of that defeat, came the championship drive that would define Mark’s final season for the Crimson Tide.

Facing Florida in an SEC Championship game rematch in 2009, Mark scored the final touchdown, solidifying Alabama’s spot in the national championship game, while bolstering his campaign to be the Tide’s first ever Heisman winner.
