An 11-year. NFL veteran, cornerback Chris Harris Jr. was one of the top defensive players of his day despite going undrafted before his rookie season in 2011. Signed by the Denver Broncos as a free agent that year, he was named to the league’s All-Rookie team after intercepting one pass and playing in all 16 of the Broncos’ regular-season games. After tearing his ACL in the 2013 playoffs, Harris finished fourth in the voting for the NFL’s Comeback Player of the Year in 2014, when he made his first Pro Bowl and earned second-team All-Pro honors. He was named to the Pro Bowl again in 2015, when he helped lead Denver to victory in Super Bowl 50. Harris earned first-team All-Pro honors the next season. The Pro Football Hall of Fame named him to its All-2010s team. Harris played college football at Kansas, where he was a four-year starter as a defensive back for the Jayhawks. A native of Bixb, Okla., he played football, basketball and track at Bixby High. He earned All-State honors as a senior defensive back in 2006, and was also named the district player of the year.
