Silence Is Not An Option

The work everyone’s been talking about? This is the work. And I’m ready for it.

It’s the world that needs to change, and I know that you girls will help to change it.

Why do Black fathers still have to have this conversation with their sons?

What happened to George Floyd could have easily — and far too often — happened to me or others.

Being 12 years old, I was just ... shook. Helpless.

KEEP UP the noise. Keep protesting, marching. Keep demanding CHANGE in the STREETS.

An injustice to one race is an injustice to all races.

The majority have to speak up and stand up for us.

If there’s going to be change, this is the perfect place to start.

We gotta make it so you might not want to hear us ... but you damn sure gon’ listen.

It’s time to STEP UP. It’s time to draw a line in the sand and say that this shit is not O.K.

People are mad because NOTHING HAS CHANGED.

If you’re silent, you are part of the problem.

Hockey is not unique. It has the same problems that plague our whole world.
